Winery Review

89 points - Stephen Tanzer

100% Monastrell, aged in American oak for four months. Bright ruby. Powerful, spicy aromas of dark berry preserves and lavender. Fleshy and round on the palate, offering spicy blackberry and blueberry flavors and gaining sweetness with air. Finishes smooth, long and slightly warm. "

My Review
In the words of Gary Vaynerchuk this wine had a strong touch of the Oak Monster. It also presented strong notes of caramel, cherry and currant. On the finish I got a beautiful hint of blackberry. This wine was overly dry and had me looking for a glass of water afterwards. It did have good flavor, and finishes strong on a cinnamon flavor. It sounds odd but it reminded me of that smell and flavor of Christmas and had a lovely warm feel to it.

I did not eat food with this wine.
