Tasting - Foxhollow Chardonnay
Name: Foxhollow ChardonnayVariety: ChardonnayRegion: California, USACountry: USAYear: 2012Price: $5.95
Winery ReviewThis Chardonnay’s aromas of tropical pineapple, crisp green apple and citrus are supported by underlying nuances of vanilla. The finish is smooth and creamy yet balanced with enough acidity to accentuate the vibrant fruit flavors with a hint of orange blossoms.
My ReviewThis Chardonnay gave off a very strong scent of green apples, to the point where it could have been fermented apple juice. I was very excited to taste it. However, upon tasting, I discovered that it was very light and gave off further citrus flavors as I tried to determine the other smells and tastes hidden within. I am not a huge fan of chardonnay to begin with, but this wine was not horrible. I discovered last week I am more of a Moscato fan.
I did not eat food with this wine.
